the second most senior leader of the Islamic State terror group after
its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi whose calls for attacks against the
West and other countries during Ramadan led to mass bloodshed in recent
memory with followers carrying out lone-wolf terrorist attacks
including the Orlando nightclub shooting, the truck attack in the
French city of Nice and a massive suicide bombing in Baghdad earlier
this year.
